A little background about myself… I was born and raised into a family of health and athleticism. I played a variety of sports all my life with track and field being one of my biggest priorities. I began my competitive journey of fitness and health when I was about 14. I began by running, taking fitness classes, and lifting weights at a local gym. I began bodybuilding and continued with that for a few years. Soon after, I got certified in a variety of modalities and began instructing group classes and private personal training sessions. Then I found CrossFit… and never turned back. I have been an instructor/trainer for approximately four years. I am currently working towards my long term goal to obtain a PHD in psychology and in the process I am fortunately able to be simultaneously worki here at CrossFit Danbury. Being a coach here has been a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Working with athletes of a variety of ages, capabilities, and backgrounds is so inspirational. It is fascinating how all of us are so unique, yet we all come together to push ourselves through the same gnarly WODs just to test our own limits. I whole heartedly believe in our bodies being much more capable of what our mind sometimes tells us. Mental toughness is one of my biggest components that I strive to build in my clients. I want everyone to reach moments of realizing how far their body can truly be pushed that they never thought possible. CrossFit is about building this lifestyle of being FIT inside and out. Here at CrossFit Danbury we are not just a community but a family who is here to welcome anyone with open arms. I am stoked to be part of an amazing group of individuals with strong character, perseverance and continuous personal growth to be the very best they can be. Looking forward to growing together physically and mentally, as life is an incredibly exciting adventure and CrossFit makes it all that much better!
